Windows 10 – Dell Apoint.exe – Alps_SetMouseMonitorError!!

Brand new install of Windows 10 on a dell laptop I get the error


Dell Apoint.exe


ALPS / Apoint popup – bad dell touch pad driver


Unistall it.  You don’t need it. A new one will install later automatically via Windows Update

  1. I have tried this, but as soon as I reboot I get a popup next startup that says that I need updates, when I install the updates it installs the same flavor of the touchpad driver and recreates the problem. Any suggestions?
